About Andhra University, Visakhapatnam
Andhra University, Visakhapatnam was established in 1926. The aim of Andhra University is to offer the students with the required education in order to excel in their careers. Andhra University is a public university under the state government of Andhra Pradesh and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Andhra University offers different courses in Arts, Commerce, Management, Science and Technology, Engineering, Law, Pharmacy and Education. Andhra University offers many courses at diploma, undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and Doctoral (PhD) levels. Major courses offered by Andhra University include B.Tech, BA, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Pharma, M.Tech, LLB, M.Pharma, Ph.D and so on.
Admissions are granted to Andhra University based on the performance in various entrance examinations like AUEET and AUCET conducted by the university itself. Andhra University is based in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh and is a government-based university. Andhra University Scholarships
Andhra University provides many scholarships to the financially weaker and minority groups. This is done so that the meritorious students can easily complete their higher studies without being subdued to the financial pressure.

Merit Social Welfare/ Tribal Welfare Scholarships | The students are given a stipend amount of Rs.100 per month from the government of Andhra Pradesh | Any student belonging to the SC/ST category with merit marks (usually 60%) in the previous qualification can apply for the scholarship. |
Post Matric Scholarship for Minority Students | The scholarship amount ranges from Rs 240 to Rs 942 per month for 10 months | It is available for students belonging to the economically backward classes. The family income of the student should not be more than Rs 1 lakh. The student must be pursuing full-time graduation with at least 75% attendance. |
Bharati Scheme for Education(BSE) | The students get a scholarship ranging from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 20,000 | This scheme applies to all Brahmins. The family income of the candidate should not exceed Rs. 3 lakhs. The students in the first year of B. Tech. should’ve received an EAMCET rank below 50000. The applicants must not be using any other scholarship scheme with this. |
Combined Counselling Board Scholarship | The students receive a scholarship benefit between Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 3,00,000 | This is for all students that are graduating. The minimum marks obtained in the qualifying examination must be between 33% and 50%. |
Gayathri Scheme for Academic Excellence (GS-AE) | The students get a scholarship amount between Rs. 7,500 to Rs. 20,000 | This scheme is open for the Brahmin Community for Andhra Pradesh. The topper students of 12th or graduation can apply. The recipient must not be using any other scholarship along with this. |

College Infrastructure
The college also has several well-maintained auditoriums and seminar halls, where guest lectures and events are regularly held. In terms of recreational facilities, the college offers a gym, sports courts, and a student activity center. While the overall infrastructure is excellent, the college could improve its parking facilities, as space can be limited during peak hours.
